This sculptural piece made from copper was used as currency in Cameroon and dates from pre-1900s. Hand-forged from copper.

Detailed metalwork created by blacksmiths was used as a form of currency especially among agricultural communities in Africa. Some currency designs include European influences, an effect of colonisation.
